About our verification bot

Construction Metric periodically checks that the document links in our directory are still live and unchanged. If you run a manufacturer or certification body website, this page explains what you will see in your logs.

How it behaves

It respects robots.txt. If your rules disallow it, we stop checking and flag the record for manual review instead.
It makes at most one request every two seconds per domain.
It only fetches URLs that were published as public document links.
It stores a SHA-256 fingerprint and HTTP status only. The fetched bytes are discarded: we never store, cache or republish your documents.
It runs once a week.

What our stamps claim

A document marked SOURCE CHECKED means the link resolved and its content matched the version our team last confirmed, on the date shown. That is our record of the source, not verification by the publisher, and it is not a statement that the document is current or applicable to your use.

A second tier, MANUFACTURER VERIFIED, is reserved for listings a manufacturer has confirmed. No listing carries it yet.
